Guides / Siri Remote

Siri Remote, skipping and seeking.

IPTVIQ is honest about seeking: it jumps to a time you choose. It does not show scrubbing thumbnails, and it never pretends a live channel can be rewound when it cannot.

Jump Mode

For a long skip, press Up twice. A cursor shows the target time and how far it is from now. Left and Right move it by 10 seconds, growing to 30 seconds, 1, 2, 5 and 10 minutes on quick repeats; Up and Down move it by a tenth of the film. Nothing seeks while you move the cursor. Press Select to jump once, or Menu to cancel and stay where you were.

Live TV

Live TV cannot be paused or rewound unless your provider offers catch-up for that channel. Play/Pause on a live channel tells you so. Up and Down change channel, Left opens the channel list, Right opens Audio & Subtitles when the stream offers a choice.

Each skip is a real seek and the picture can take a couple of seconds to appear. Several quick presses add up and land together.

Volume

Apple TV apps cannot control the TV's volume. Set it in Apple TV Settings, Remotes and Devices, Volume Control.
